August Update!
I have been recently working on my song promotions with my mentor. My mentor has been teaching me how to start off as recording artist. We are currently in the process of making a music video for the day of the song release. On my own I have been researching other artist debut stage. From watching documentaries I have gain a perspective on how the music industry works.
One documentary I watched was on the Nine Muses debut in 2010

 Blog 4: Interview Preparation

1.  Who do you plan to interview?  Why?
I plan to interview Bruce Vanderveer.  He is a music executive and has opened his own record label. I plan to do the same. I think I will learn a lot from him through the interview. I'm starting off  like the way he once did when he started. I learned that he worked with an international artist, so that kept me interested.

2.  You have to ask 5 questions.  What additional questions do you plan to ask?

What is your song writing process?

What are some of the biggest differences you've seen in the buisnees since starting?

Can you tell me a little about what type of artist are under your record label? What was it like to work with an international artist?

What made you start your own record businees? How difficult was it for you?

Can you explain the struggles you went through, and what did you do to overcome them? How did that shape you in becoming the person you are now?

4. What is the most important thing you gained from this experience? Why?

The most important thing I gained from this experience is learning how much work it takes to make it into the music industry. From what I observed it's more than just performing on stage. There are showcases, promotions, time management, and lots of rehersals to accomplish before even putting out your music to the public. It defineitly changed my perspective on how the music industry works.

5. What is your senior project topic going to be?  How did what you did help you choose a topic?  Please explain.

My senior topic is going to be on music executive. After spending time with a music executive I become more interested with the topic. This topic can go in depth into many different area in music. So I know there is always going to be more things for me to learn with being a music executive.
